Premier League | Gameweek 6 | Man Utd held at home to Wolves | Man City thrash Cardiff

In gameweek six of the Premier League, Manchester United were held at home to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers while Manchester City thrashed fellow newcomers Cardiff City in the Welsh capital.

United took the lead in the 18th minute through Fred, but Joao Moutinho equalised early in the second-half to seal a well-earned point.

Man City had no problems on Saturday, putting five past Cardiff. Sergio Agüero opened the scoring after half an hour before Bernardo Silva doubled their advantage minutes later and Ilkay Gundogan made it 3-0 before the restart.

Riyad Mahrez scored twice after the break to seal a rout at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Elsewhere, Liverpool made light work of Southampton, beating them 3-0 at Anfield. The Reds went ahead early on through a Wesley Hoedt own goal and doubled their advantage midway through the first-half thanks to Joel Matip. Mohamed Salah made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time.

There were draws for Fulham & Watford, Crystal Palace & Newcastle United and West Ham & Chelsea, while Leicester, Burnley, Tottenham and Arsenal enjoyed wins over Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Brighton and Everton respectively.
