Manchester City and Liverpool made it two wins from two in the Premier League, beating Huddersfield Town on Sunday and Crystal Palace on Monday respectively.
City won 6-1 against Town, with Sergio Aguero claiming a hat-trick. Aguero opened the scoring in the 25th minute and Gabriel Jesus doubled their advantage minutes later.
Aguero grabbed his second goal and City’s third minutes after Jesus, but Jon Gorenc Stankovic pulled a goal back for Huddersfield before half-time.
Minutes into the second-half, David Silva made it 4-1 and Aguero claimed his hat-trick less than half an hour later. An own goal from Terence Kongolo wrapped up the 6-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool enjoyed a 2-0 win over Palace at Selhurst Park. The Reds took the lead through James Milner before half-time and doubled their advantage in the last minute of the game through Sadio Mane.
On Saturday, Arsenal came unstuck again, losing 3-2 away to Chelsea on Saturday, leaving Unai Emery’s men without a point from their first two games of the season.
Pedro and Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea a 2-0 lead, before Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi brought Arsenal back into the game. Marcos Alonso struck in the 81st minute to give Chelsea the win.
