Premier League | Gameweek 38 | Late winner sees Man City finish on 100 points

Manchester City struck late against Southampton to finish the Premier League season on 100 points, while Arsenal finally ended their losing away run in 2018 with a win at Huddersfield.

City were goalless with Southampton until the 93rd minute when Gabriel Jesus struck to earn Pep Guardiola’s side all three points to make it 100 points from 38 games.

Arsenal took the lead against Town in the 38th minute through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Gunners held off the Terriers’ to earn a much-needed away victory.

Swansea’s relegation was sealed after a defeat at home to Stoke City. Andy King gave the hosts the lead early into the first-half, but the Potters fought back through Badou Ndiaye and Peter Crouch to lead at the break.

Stoke held off Swansea in the second-half to record a rare victory, but they were relegated nevertheless. Both sides finished in the bottom-three with West Bromwich Albion who lost at Crystal Palace.

Manchester City finished as champions on 100 points, with Manchester United in second place on 81. Tottenham (77) and Liverpool (75) made up the top-four, booking their place in the Champions League next season.

Chelsea (70), Arsenal (63) and Burnley (54) finished fifth, sixth and seventh respectively and will be in the Europa League next season.
