U23 Premier League | Gameweek 1 | Wins for Liverpool and Arsenal

Liverpool, Sunderland, Manchester United and Arsenal all picked up wins in the first round of Division One games.

Liverpool went top of the table after a 2-0 win at Swansea, with Danny Ings opening the scoring in the 11th minute and Yan Dhanda doubling their advantage after the hour mark.

Sunderland beat Tottenham 2-1 at home. The visitors went ahead through Kazaiah Sterling, but the Black Cats responded well in the second half with goals from Ethan Robson and Denver Hume to complete the comeback.

Manchester United enjoyed a 1-0 win at Leicester, with Demetri Mitchell scoring the only goal of the game.

Arsenal pulled out an impressive comeback after emerging victorious from a five-goal thriller at Derby. The Young Gunners went behind to a Kellan Gordon goal inside of half an hour.

After the restart, Derby doubled their advantage through Emil Riis Jakobsen. However, Arsenal fought back with Reiss Nelson halving the deficit after the hour mark.

He grabbed his second of the game minutes later to level the game, before Eddie Nketiah won all three points for the visitors in the 80th minutes.
